Howdy! I’m Judith.

Starting a blog is like writing to God or Santa Claus. There’s no one there to see or hear, but thoughts flow as if there was an ear to listen, a head to nod, and an um-huh occasionally.
I started writing more years back than I can figure. Things stopped me now and then, but I thought the thoughts if I couldn’t write the words.
A psychologist once told me I lived in my head. I think that’s what it’s like to write. The outside world fades and an inner world comes alive, sometimes more alive than the happenings skirting the chair sat in. It’s difficult to let go of those worlds and the wonderful folks who live there.
The magic came for me about six or seven years ago. I had a thought and the moment I touched the keyboard they took flight and came alive. The first time for anything is amazing, like feeling weightless and untouchable. When the words come so fast you can’t get them down they must be coming from somewhere outside yourself. Surly I can’t be doing this alone. There must really be muses to give lines to put down with ideas and thoughts that make some kind of sense…until you read them again the next morning.
Even if it’s garbled there’s something there. I love it when the magic works.

  1. Nice comparison to writing a blog to God or to Santa Claus. And indeed, the worlds writers create can be very real, and we can get enjoyably lost in them.
